The Answer Project will:

Provide services for older people which:

  • Encourages clients to maintain previous skills and interests
  • Offer a stimulating programme of activities
  • Promotes the rights of each individual to have a feeling of self-worth and to be treated with respect and dignity
  • Provides respite for carers

The Answer Project will:

Provide Support for older people to:

  • Enable them to maintain links within their own communities
  • Enable them to continue living independently in their own homes as long as possible
  • Provide additional support to delay or prevent the need for admission into long-term care

Anyone using the services of Answer has the right to:

  • Be valued as an individual
  • Be treated with dignity and respect at all times
  • The same right of privacy as everyone else
  • Access a range of service tailored to meet their individual needs
  • Information and support which enables them to remain independent for as long as possible
  • Be supported to make informed choices
  • Realise their full potential in a safe supportive enviornment
  • Full participation with the support of an advocate (if needed) in decision making about their on going and continued involvement in the Answer Project

The Answer Project will:

  • Always involve the older person and their carer in any decision making
  • Refer people to and work with other agencies when and where appropriate
